Most people whom I’ve shared Peak Oil with have brushed it off conveniently accusing me of being too the-end-is-near-ish. Well, I don’t really mind that label especially when it means I get grouped with the league of gentlemen below:

  1. Stephen Hawking – who predicted that humanity would not survive another 1,000 years.
  2. Al Gore says oceans will flood the world, swarms of insects will infest, hurricanes will intensify and the atmosphere will become a choking mass of pollution …
  3. WHO spokesperson Dick Thompson says that there’s an average of three pandemics a century, and we’re due.
  4. Colin Campbell, retired oil geologist says we’ve come to the end of the first age of oil.
